So be it, I don't know of any culture who doesn't treat thier ritual tools with reverence! Like you, being mindful of set and setting enhances my work with tarot deeply other than just making it more enjoyable.

I certainly don't feel any guilt about in my tarot practice (nor really, anything in life) but took this topic more in the nature of it being a turn of phrase, with a "guilty pleasure" being something that originated as an indulgence... In my case, it was finding out that my surface enjoyment in a deck that I didn't take particularly seriously when I first got it runs much deeper that it being superficially pretty. Being someone who eschews buying things simply for the sake of having them, that was a pretty big indulgence on my part!lolahttp://www.speakofsecrets.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5505580646032549706.post-47823160966076467832017-05-17T06:58:17.048-04:002017-05-17T06:58:17.048-04:00I'd like a peep in your cupboard under the sta...I'd like a peep in your cupboard under the stairs! Love is about choice, and the fact that maye mean staying the course even as other interests and passions hover on the edges. This is something that I have learned thru my first-ever monogamous relationship, which is the one I am in now, and by the odd twist of tarot, has come to be represented by the Lovers card in my go-to tarot deck. Your words on awakening and attaining higher levels of awareness speak clearly to me about this - as for soulmates, I have always believed we each have many, and not all of them cross over into the world of romantic love. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this!Lolahttp://speakofsecrets.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5505580646032549706.post-69208510130164828982017-02-13T15:42:04.504-05:002017-02-13T15:42:04.504-05:00I love the Fleetwood Mac reference.

Secondly, (and totally unrelated), I LOVE staedtler pens, they are the best. Lastly, while I always look at the Fool as a seeker, as someone who pushes beyond comfort for ultimate wisdom, and beauty and joy, I had never considered how releasing and letting go are a part of that cycle of learning that the Fool must go through. That is a gem of an insight and I adore this post you've written on it. Thank you.
